St. Louis SPJ is delighted to be a cosponsor of the JAWS mixer that was to take place on Feb. 13. It has now been rescheduled thanks to the snow falling on our heads, but we want to get the word out for all women journalists that this opportunity is coming to St. Louis!
JAWS stands for Journalism and Women Symposium, which has been advancing the professional empowerment and personal growth of women in journalism and advocating for greater diversity in our coverage for nearly 40 years. NPR Midwest Newsroom’s Holly Edgell is coordinating the effort to bring JAWS to St. Louis, and both STLPR and SPJ are happy to support this endeavor.
Find out more about JAWS in St. Louis here, and join us at the rescheduled mixer! We will now meet on Feb. 27 at St. Louis Public Radio, and all of us at SPJ are looking forward to seeing you there!
